Class A
Combustible solids — paper, wood, cardboard and most plastics.
Class B
Flammable liquids — petrol, diesel, oils and solvents.
Class C
Flammable gases — LPG and similar pressurised fuels.
Class D
Combustible metals — specialist agents only.
Electrical
Live electrical equipment — CO₂ is the default choice.
Class F
Cooking oils and fats — wet chemical only.
